In 1931 our company was born in Blackstone, Virginia and operated by one family as The Transport Company for the next fifty-five years. In 1987, Epes Carriers, Inc. of Greensboro, NC bought the company and renamed it Epes Transport System, and in 2018 Penske Logistics in Reading, PA acquired Epes. Today, Epes Transport is one of the largest private trucking companies in the Southeast.
