Early expansion to Mobile and Houston reflected a growing practice along the Gulf Coast in the energy and transportation sectors. Over the years, we've moved into new markets in the Southeast, both by merging with local firms and by hiring groups of laterals to establish offices for Adams & Reese. We have merged with legacy firms including Lange Simpson in Birmingham, Stokes & Bartholomew in Nashville, Ellis Lawhorne in Columbia, SC, and Volpe, Bajallia in Jacksonville. Large groups of laterals gave us our start in Jackson, MS and Tampa. Today, we have more than 300 lawyers and government relations advisors and are recognized annually in The American Lawyer’s “AmLaw 200,” highlighting the nation’s largest law firms by revenue and headcount. We have “brick and mortar” offices in 20 markets, and are strategically located in the regions with the most dynamic growth and economic activity in the United States.
