Relay developed a digital payment network to help keep America’s trucks moving. In 2019, Ryan and Spencer co-founded a fintech company in Atlanta called Relay Payments. Relay’s instant digital payments replace the lengthy process for payment authorization that delayed shipment unloading and often led to other frustrations, like lost receipts and fraud. The company has quickly grown, and now partners with North America’s largest carriers, freight brokers and 3PLs – as well as smaller fleets and independent owner operators – to digitize over-the-road payments and ensure products get to store shelves quickly.
